What to Look at Before Selecting a Program for Online Bookings

There is plenty of value within a great online booking software program. However, they aren't all the same. You don't want to leave it to chance if you will get something remarkable or something with quite a bit lacking. The only way to know for sure is to carefully evaluate the options before you start using one.

Address your Needs

The needs of your business can be different from another. Even businesses in the same niche may not find the same value in online booking software. Think about the tasks you need to accomplish and the methods you would like to implement. Consider where your business is right now and where you would like to see it in the future.

Making a list of the features you consider to be essential with online booking software is a good place to start. As you start to evaluate programs, you will find plenty offering those as well as some extras. Take a look at the extras to determine if they are something you could find value with using for your business.

Customisation

It doesn't make sense to use online booking software that can't be customised to fit your specific scheduling needs and timeframes. You may have to look around for a program that fits well with what you are aiming for. Many of them have free demos to show you how they work and what you can do with the features. This is a great opportunity to explore without buying.

Cloud Based

Technology is moving in the direction for everything to be cloud based. It is a good idea to use online booking software that is parallel with this. It ensures consumers can access it from any platform, any device, and any location. This creates convenience as well as reliability. It also means you can access the schedule from any location you happen to be at when you need to.

It is a good idea to find software that offers free updates too. You don't want the program to be outdated soon after you buy it. Instead, you want it to be able to continually help you to meet the needs of your business and your customers. If it is outdated soon, you may have to replace it or you will be behind. Neither is a good option so avoid getting into such a scenario.

User Friendly

It really won't matter if the online booking software has all of the features and perks you want though if it isn't user friendly. It has to be simple enough for those new to such software to move around it with ease and not feel intimidated. If the program is hard to use, it can open up the door to scheduling errors that are difficult and time consuming for you to fix.

It should be user friendly on the back end too. In fact, it is encouraging to use a program that offers you a free tutorial or coaching session in order to help you learn the ins and outs of the program. You need to have access to support 24/7 in the event you need assistance with anything the program offers.

Built in Support

When you use such a system, it is best to get one with built in support. Most of them are created this way so you can continue to meet the needs of your customers and potential customers. If it doesn't offer such a feature, then it isn't the right program for you. You have to make quality customer service a top priority at every level. The more features you get in this area the better!

Take Your Service Business to the Next Level

Consumers want to know you are paying attention to their needs when they turn to you for a service. They don't want to worry they will slip through the cracks. Instead, they want confirmation they are on the books and scheduled. It is one less thing for them to think about when they are planning any type of event.

Being able to stay well organised though isn't always easy. You want to make it look very easy though! You can take your service business to the next level with an online booking system. This can be your tool to stay on top of all of it.

One Stop Settings

Your customers want to have access to information and assistance that works for their needs. They don't want features they don't plan to use. Don't make the mistake of lumping them all together and hoping for the best. With a quality online booking system, you can allow them to customise what they wish to get from you.

This will convey a professional message about your business. At the same time, it shows overall value so they are more inclined to book with you. Getting them as a first time customer will likely be the start of a long term relationship if it all falls into place like it should.

Easy to Navigate

Don't settle for just any online booking system though. Look at demos to make sure it will be easy to navigate. You want a system designed to allow them to try different options, compare prices for dates and time slots, and to get additional offers you have in place at that point in time. If the platform is difficult to get around in, no one is going to use it. They will leave frustrated.

Evaluate your Priorities

From your point of view, the use of an online booking system means you can always see where you are with scheduling. You can block out times or dates that you aren't available. This will prevent you from overextending yourself. As customers book dates and times, it will block out the time slots so you are on top of it every step of the way.

This allows you to evaluate your priorities. It enables you to see what you have on the agenda for tomorrow, the week, and even the month at a glance. This is a wonderful way to save time, to operate efficiently, and to avoid common scheduling mistakes.

Promotions and Special Offers

You can increase your sales volume by adding promotions and special offers to the online booking system. You can change what is available when you decide you would like to offer something new and exciting. Such offers are usually time sensitive to consumers will jump on them rather than missing out. Adding such elements to what you normally offer is a great boost.

Support

Even with the best online booking system in place, there will be customers that have questions. Look for a program that has built in support. This can include a Q&A section. It can also help them to generate a support ticket. Then you can reply quickly and have a record of who you helped and when.

Overall Management

Don't let managing your events for your customers take up hours each day. That is precious time you could be using to promote your business and accomplish tasks. Look for such a program that offers you tools for overall management. You should be able to customise them so you get results that work well for your type of business.

Online Sales Plunging? You Might Not Be Segmenting Your Customers

So you have spent countless hours designing and creating your perfect product. You have even made a few bucks from your e-commerce store. But are your sales not taking off as as you expected?

If this is your situation, then it's time to consider if you really know your customers. Ask yourself the following questions:

• Do I know what their fears and motivations are?

• Where do they look up for information?

• Who they trust for recommendations?

If you can't answer these questions, then you are not even halfway to targeting your customers. Even the best product or service out there cannot remedy that. But, if you use what we call "market segmentation" (or slicing and dicing that market), you can reach your customers in the most cost-effective way.

Without understanding and targeting a niche market, even the best products can fail-but no need to fret. By using market segmentation, you can reach your most profitable customers more cost-effectively.

What is Segmentation?

In essence, segmentation is the process of dividing a large market into small groups of people who share similar characteristics.

You can imagine the process as filtering the market through a funnel that has a wide opening and narrow end. A large group goes in and only a few come out on the other end. Marketers analyze these few peoples' shared traits to create a unique strategy to reach and influence them.

How to "Filter" Your Market:

You can segment based on customers':

- Demographics, like age, gender, or parental status;

- Geography, such as neighborhood or country;

- Psychographics such as attitudes and beliefs;

- and behaviors, like shopping habits or product usage patterns.

This post will give you more details on each of the segmentation methods.

At this point you may be asking, "so how do I find all this information and how can they drive sales?" One of the best ways is through personal interviews and analyzing your customers' behaviors.

The Case for Using Behavioral Segmentation

Let's say you are selling young women's clothes online. You have specified that your customers are 18~25 year-old females living in a city and are interested in fashion. These are demographic, geographic and psychographic traits, respectively. Yet this information is not enough to help you sell.

Why? Customers' buying decisions can vary widely. For instance, an 18-year-old college student will shop differently than a 25-year-old who works at a corporate company. You might also want to consider their purchasing power; i.e., a working woman would have more budget for shopping than a dorm-living college student.

This is why behavioral segmentation will be most useful, especially in improving sales.

How to Use Customer Behaviors to Your Advantage:

First you need to define what your current business goals are. If you were just starting out, then your goal would be to raise brand awareness and drive customers to your store.

You can start with questions like these:

o What language do your customers speak? These are your keywords. For example if they are looking for a fitness tracker, what do they type into Google?

o When are they most likely to shop? Adjust your marketing budget based on time. For instance, if studies show online shoppers are most active around 8PM, you should probably pump out ads close to that hour.

o Where do they look for information? For example, which blogs do women frequent for outfit inspirations? Your goal is to find where they are and get yourself in front of them.

o Why did they abandon the shopping cart? Using site analytics, maybe you discovered that many customers drop off after seeing shipping costs. Use this information to rethink your operations strategy or improve your website design.

Feel free to design your own questions that align with your business. Here are the main types of behavioral segmentation you can use:

- Customer needs (e.g. are your customers more interested in comfort or functionality?)

- Occasion (e.g. sports drinks for post-workout)

- Usage rate (e.g. using face wash 2 times a day, everyday)

- Brand loyalty status (e.g. Apple fans )

- Customer life stage (e.g. college graduates vs new parents)

- and buyer readiness stage (e.g. do your customers know your brand? Do they trust you?)

Remember, Actions Speak!

Learning how to segment your customers and understanding them beyond obvious traits can significantly change your sales game. Thanks to robust e-commerce analytics nowadays, you can discover many useful insights.

The good thing about marketing is that it is a trial-and-error process. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. With every ineffective campaign you can learn something new. Just ask many questions and especially drill down on customer behaviors. Once you implement strategies based on actions, you can see an improvement in your sales.

Where the REAL Money Is Made

I can't stress the importance of what I'm about to tell you enough.

If you look at entrepreneurs who have made fortunes - I mean SERIOUS wealth - in almost every case the money came not from inside the business, but from SELLING the business.

You've heard numerous news stories of internet companies selling just 1-3 years after their initial start-up.

And the businesses you hear about sell for 7, 8 and even 9 figures.

If this sounds out of reach right now, picture this scenario: You start a business today, and in 6 months to 2 years you sell it for 6 figures.

Would that make a great payday for you?

Now you might be thinking that selling your business is something you don't need to worry about until long after you start it.

Not so.

If you are starting a business right now, you should also be considering your exit strategy.

After all, you could get bored with what you're doing and want out. Or maybe you need quick cash. Or you decide to go in an entirely different direction.

So you decide to sell your business.

If you've laid the groundwork, you should be able to sell quite quickly and for a very good price.

Here's what you need to know:

Don't think of it as flipping a website. Think of it as selling a BUSINESS. That's because buyers don't want website. They can build their own website cheap enough.
What they do want is a ready to go, money-generating cash-cow business, so make your plans accordingly.

Make your business transferable from Day 1. Every product should be its own entity - after all, a single product can actually be an entire business.
Give it a website of its own, its own list, its own customer base, its own affiliate program and affiliate list, etc.

Don't brand it exclusively with your name. It's fine to attach your name to your XYZ product, but don't call it "yournameproduct."
In other words, "Bob Smith's Traffic Cockroach Mania Course" is fine. "Bob Smith's traffic course" is not. In the first case, the product is Traffic Cockroach Mania, a name that anyone can sell. In the second case, the product is Bob Smith's Traffic, a product forever branded as belonging to Bob Smith.

Imagine you're Bob Smith, and you sell your traffic course business to someone else. That person then sells the course. Who do people ask for help? You. After all, your name is on the course.

Then let's say the buyer alters the course and now it stinks. Who will people blame? You.

Now you see why your name needs to be completely separate from the product name.

Yes, it's a bit strange to think about your exit strategy when you're just starting a business.

But when it comes time to sell, you'll be glad you did.

One more thing - what if you have a partner?

Write into your agreement what will happen if you sell. Just look at the possibilities and agree on how it will play out if one of you wants to sell to the other, or if you both want to sell to a third party.

You can make a good amount of money by making each of your businesses as stand-alone as possible, and then selling them when the time is right.

In fact, selling your business can potentially earn you more than you made running the business.

Not a bad payday by any means.

What's So Great About Continuity Products?

Two words: Recurring Payments

If you're like many online marketers, you might think the key to success is having a huge list of subscribers and tons of customers. And of course, both of these things are good. But if each customer only buys from you one time, then much of your time, energy and resources will be spent on forever finding and selling new customers.

If, however, you can increase how often each customer buys from you, then you can make more sales while doing far less prospecting. For example, imagine if each customer buys from you 6 or 8 times instead of once. And imagine if you only have to sell them once for this to happen...

... you can begin to see the power of subscription payments.

And it gets even better...

Because your average customer value is higher, you can actually afford to 'buy' new customers through targeted and tested ad campaigns. This literally takes the ceiling off of your income.
People who buy from you on a subscription basis are much more likely to buy other products from you as well.
You can spend far less time hunting for new customers, and more time cultivating the customers you already have.
You continue to get paid until the customer does something to stop these payments. It takes effort on their part to overcome their own inertia and figure out how to unsubscribe. Often it's easier for them to put it off, sometimes for months and even years.
If the service or product you're selling brings a tremendous amount of value, they're not going to want to cancel. Ever.
You have an excellent idea from month to month of what your income will be. You've got financial stability. You can plan ahead.
Continuity products can be clubs, memberships, subscriptions, software and so forth. It's a product or service that the customer subscribes to, usually on a monthly basis. As an affiliate, you receive a percentage of the sale each month as the customer renews. As a continuity product owner, you receive payments as long as the customer stays subscribed. You receive full payments if you made the initial sale and partial payments if your affiliate made the initial sale.

Some of the best continuity programs for affiliates involve a service or subscription that is a valuable part of the customer's business. For example, if someone is making money with their list, they're not going to give up their autoresponder.

Some marketers make ongoing 4 and 5 figure payments each month from just one of these continuity programs, such as Aweber. Other marketers start their own continuity program and find financial security within months and sometimes even just weeks. A huge weight is taken off your shoulders when you KNOW that next month "X" number of dollars will be coming in, even if you don't sell anything new.

And you can use that money not only to live on, but also to reinvest into your business. Use advertising to drive more customers onto your lists, where you guide them into more continuity in your quest to help them and accelerate your early retirement.

Enjoy!

The Secret Sauce of Recurring Revenue

Now I'm going to give you one single, solitary tip that is probably worth more than all the other advice I've given here about how to make recurring revenue.

And this applies whether you're selling affiliate products or building your own subscription business.

It's so simple and yet so profound, most people will miss it entirely.

They might think it's silly. Or great. But in 5 minutes they'll forget it and never use it.

And for that they will be poorer. Literally.

You - I'm hoping - will recognize the genius is this simple, innocent looking giant of an idea.

Ready?

First, a clue...
When Mark Zuckerberg was building Facebook, he focused on one ultimate mission.

Why?

Because having one ultimate mission is the key to success.

It's the power of focus.

If you think about how many priorities you have... family, friends, faith, fitness, financial, home, work, etc., you have a lot of priorities.

And each of these comes at the expense of the others.

Having a lone, singular mission isn't a luxury, it's the absolute pre-requisite to success.

Everything needs to align to that single mission, even those things that don't at first seem to be a part of it.

You can make your friends and family co-conspirators in your mission. You can use your mission to get rid of the job you hate and repair the house you love, and so forth.

It's all tied together.

Now then, here comes the diabolically simple, yet crucial piece of the puzzle...
... if you're thinking your mission is to, "Deliver tremendous value to this particular group of terrific people known as your customers by delivering them benefits x, y and z" then you haven't narrowed your mission down nearly enough.

Mind you, that's a very nice start and you definitely want to keep that to guide your business decisions.

But we've got to ratchet it down even further, down to its bare-boned absolute cannot fail essence.

When it comes to recurring income, it could not be simpler.

That single mission that Mark Zuckerberg focused his entire team on to build Facebook into the giant it is today?

Was a number.

Just a number.

That's it.

It was the number of users they wanted to get.

So simple. So elegant. And so effective.

You can carry this number with you everywhere.

You can share it with everyone.

You can make co-conspirators of everyone you know by simply sharing this number.

Whether you're selling affiliate products or building your own residual program, decide on the number of subscribers you want.

You can do this by deciding how much you want to earn each month, and how many subscribers it will take to get that income.

Write that number down in 12 inch letters.

Post it in front of your desk, on the fridge and on your television set.

Heck, write it backwards on your forehead if you want, so you can see it in the mirror.

And. Then. Go. Get. That. Number.

How to Find Business Partners to Increase Your Online Business Success

If you are a solopreneur - there's just you in your business - you will need help from other businesses of some kind. You'll need advertising materials, a website, a delivery system (depending on your niche) and so on.

Few people have the knowledge to perform all those services for themselves. The solution is to find providers for each specific niche that you need within the online B2B Marketplace.

You may need additional money for your business. There again, locating business partners through business networks is the solution.

Let us say you want to create an E-commerce store selling your hand-painted pottery. You could hire someone to build a custom-coded website for you (using a provider from such B2B Marketplace sites as Fiverr or Upwork (which has absorbed ODesk and Elance) and Guru.com.

Or you could partner with companies that offer "associate" programs in your niche. For example, you can create an e-commerce store on eBay, to sell anything you like from your own books to used books, tools, jewelry, sporting equipment and so on. You could also partner with Amazon.com, or BarnesandNoble.com.

Other global companies offer affiliate opportunities. Basically, they will pay you to create a business presence online in order to help them market their goods and services. How can you find these affiliate opportunities? Join a business networking site, and learn from those who already participate in such programs.

Using freelance marketplace portals to find talented individuals is one form of business partnering, but it is in an on-demand basis. You use these individuals only as you need them, and the portal that provides their services. Since freelancers work for a variety of people, they may not be available the next time you need them, so you have to find a new provider.

Finding business partners outside of these marketplace portals, that you can partner with officially, solves this difficulty.

For example, shipping costs from one country to another country can be prohibitive unless you "drop-ship", meaning you send your product to a partner in another country, and that company stores the product and sends it out as needed to people in-country who order the product.

People, or companies, who offer such services can be found on B2B Marketplace sites.

To find these B2B Marketplace sites, simply do a web search on that term. Then, simply search through the results to find a site that offers business services in your particular niche. A B2B Marketplace site is in essence a business network, and networking is the key to expanding your business into the global market.

Business partners located in different areas around the world can also help you advertise your business, in particular your e-commerce business and make it known throughout the world.

Trust: A Huge Burden For Some Online Business Owners

Confidence, reliance and fairness are some of the keywords at the back of trust.

In an estimated world population of 7 billion people, some 40% of the people have access to the internet. This is good for humanity. It is also good for business.

With this impressive statistics, more and more people and businesses are expected to be interacting online every minute of the day.

Recently, I read an interview where an online shopping outfit owner complained that 95% of people still prefer to buy from the open market. This means only 5% buy online.

But, I have not had time to check whether this was a global percentage or not. However, it coming despite the revolution in information technology, which has reduced our world to a global family.

Trust is a huge burden here, especially for online business owners, who are just starting out and possibly established online business persons or outfits as well.

Trusting someone or business ought to be a slow, gradual process. We take risk everyday and must interact with people, one way or the others.

The social media is filled with people, groups, businesses, etc, who promise heaven on earth, as far as selling their products or services are concerned.

I have had course to interact with some of these social media entrepreneurs. Some are genuine, some are fake.

It is a situation we have the good, the bad and the ugly interacting in this complex world and trust are either built or destroyed over time.

For an online business owner like me just starting out, I need to be careful with people and groups that make fantastic claims. It is also my advice to other people out there.

No man is an island is a popular saying. Therefore, we must interact everyday with one another physically or on the net.

But, our motive at the point of interaction with others could make or mar our trust for each other, credibility and integrity.

In this modern age, security like other areas of life has also gone online. Therefore, people, groups or firms with criminal, fraudulent motives who are on the social media may pretend that they are safe.

This is not true for sooner than later, these criminally motivated people, groups or firms could be unmasked by undercover security agents, who are also on the social media, doing their jobs.

But, let me confess there that I have also benefited from my dealings will some genuine people, groups and firms online in recent times.

To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is the mantra of scientists and it is true. So, our motives while online doing business or interacting one way of the other with people could be revealed with time.

Want to Be Rich? Forget Passion - Follow Money

What I'm about to say goes against almost every self-help book out there. It goes against what you've been told time and time again. And it might even go against your moral code.

Then again, if you want to be rich, you might want to consider where your 'moral code' came from. The advice everyone loves to trot out and display to anyone who will listen is, "Do what you love, the money will follow."

Hmmm... What if you love writing poetry? Or gardening? Or making baskets What if you love crochet? Or cats? Or hiking? Yes, you can make money in all of these niches. But... how much?

Making money and getting rich are two entirely different things. Making money is getting the bills paid and maybe being able to scrimp enough together to take an annual vacation. Getting rich is, well, getting RICH. Whatever that means to you - a 6 figure income, 7 figures in the bank, 8 figures in investments and real estate - you decide.

But guaranteed, you're not going to attain any of those levels of wealth if you're focused on the crochet niche. (Do you even know what crochet is? It's taking a hook and some yarn and making an afghan, sweater, scarf, etc. Enjoyable and relaxing, yes. Profitable, NO.)

Okay, so if the key to getting rich is to follow the money and not the passion, what exactly does that mean? It means you go where the money is. You find something that is highly profitable and focus on making those profits. You don't strive to be the best blogger or the best website builder or the best social media maven. You focus solely on where the money is and you do whatever it takes to make that money (staying 100% legal, of course).

We're talking about a mind shift here - a different way of viewing your business. If your focus is to be the best life coach, then you are a coach. But if your focus is to have the most profitable coaching business possible, then you are an entrepreneur. And as an entrepreneur, you're going to quickly realize you need to hire others to be the coaches while you find the clients. Then you'll put systems in place to get the clients while you focus on scaling, and so forth.

Notice that you are not a coach, you're an entrepreneur. You're not working IN your business, you're working ON your business. I know this difference might seem slight to the uninitiated. But if you look at anyone who has built a business to 7 figures or more, you will see that they set aside passions and followed the money.

They're not experts at the products and services their business delivers. They hire or outsource experts for that. They are experts at making their businesses big and profitable. That's entrepreneurship.

And what about those who go even further, building one successful business after another? They're focused on something even beyond money. Walter White, from the television show Breaking Bad, sums it up like this when talking to his partner Jessie...

"You asked me if I was in the meth business or the money business.

"Neither.

"I'm in the empire business."

But that's a step beyond. For right now, if you want to become rich, focus on where the money is and how best to deliver the stellar products or services that will bring that money to you by the truckloads. And by the way, if you're really, really passionate about crochet, or poetry, or gardening... you can do as much of it as you want once you build your wealth building business (or empire) and then sell it for megabucks.

The More You Think About Money The More You Make

He who thinks consistently about a thing will usually tend to grow towards that thing, whether it be riches, poverty, love, hate or anything else under the sun. Have you ever noticed how when sometimes you are just thinking about somebody, they will call or send you a message. Or at times just when you are thinking about something that you need, that thing will show up? In the Jamaican culture, when one more people are talking about another person in a good or bad way and that person suddenly appears in front of you, it is now a common superstition that this person will live long. It is a common superstition which is a sign that this occurrence is far from rare.

This same idea holds true for the appearing of money. The more you begin to think about money, the more money will come your way. First you begin to think about gaining money, then you might consider how you don't have any money. Then you might begin to think about how you can gain more money. Then concrete plans begin to form in your mind about how you can gain money or somehow money may just come your way out of no where. This has happened to me countless times, and I mean thousands of dollars, or even a job. All when I have held a keen focus on money.

It is all logical, just think about it, if you sat down one evening and decided that you were going to make pancakes for breakfast, then the whole night, you envisioned the pancakes; you saw the pancakes in your imagination, you smelt the smell of the syrup and the butter on top of the pancakes and then you tasted the combination of the pancakes, melted butter and syrup in your mouth. The next morning when you go to the store there is a 99% chance that you will be picking up pancake mix at the store or before you even get to the store, you might just end up going for breakfast because you want pancakes as soon as possible. It is the same thing with money, if you decide to have it rest on your mind for a long period of time, rest assure you will soon amass more money. However, there is something more.

It was the great Henry Ford who once said " If one thinks they can't or thinks they can't, they're both probably right". What he meant is that the contents of your thoughts is what determines your reality, your thoughts are the tool that shapes your reality. So, just know it is not enough to just think about money you also need to think positively about money.

When you spend, don't think that it is your last, but instead think that there is much more to come in the near future. When you look at your account and don't see much there, close your eyes and envision that there will be much there soon. The idea is that you must have a good and upbeat relationship with this thing called money. Your connection to money must be positive no matter what the circumstance. You could be poor now, or from a broken home, it doesn't matter, when it comes to money and success period, let your thoughts of money be positive.

There is a story about two brothers whose father was a drunk. One of these boys grew up to be a drunk just like his father and the other grew up to be rich and successful with mansions, cars and land. When asked individually as to how they both reached their stations. In life, they both had the same answer but different perspectives. The drunkard said "my father was a drunk so I had no choice (to be a drunk)". The rich one said, "my father was a drunk so I had no choice (to be rich)".

This story just goes to show you that it is the contents of your mind; your thoughts which will determine your destiny, especially when it comes to money. The people who are the most positive about money, are the ones who gain the most of it. And if you will start to think positively about money today and be one of these people, you will find much more in your pockets in the near to distant future.

The Money Making Power Of Thought

The only thing you need is your thought to make money in this world. One of the world's greatest actors was once down on himself. Unknown, he was poor and struggling to find any work as an actor and was so desperate for money that he even sold his dog (with tears in his eyes, a dog he would later buy back) and his wife's jewelry for money. The actor knew nothing was going on in his life but he still kept on believing that something could happen, at anytime.

One day while he was watching a boxing match between Muhammad Ali and another less formidable opponent. Ali would hit him and he would sway, he would get hit and hit but for some reason he just wouldn't quit. He was taking thunderous blows for the duration of the match but in the end he still lost. However, when the bell sounded to signal the end of the match, something magical happened.

The actor got an idea, the struggling actor got a thought that he should write a movie similar that would portray a character similar to the fighter who has shown so much heart. Boom, there it was all that he needed, a ray of inspiration that caused him to spend the next 20 hours writing the script for this movie.

When he completed the movie, he then brought it to several production companies, but they all rejected him. Discouraged, the actor still continued to peddle his script and finally someone was interested in it. They then offered him 100,000 for the script, but took back the offer when he demanded to be the star of the movie. No deal, they both said.

A month later the same company called the actor back and offered him 200,000$ for the script, but he declined again. The next week it was 300,000$, another decline, until the company gave in and gave him 35,000$ for the script and let him be the star of the movie.

The gamble paid off and the Rocky series was born. Sylvester Stallone led the way to multiple Oscar awards and many millions of dollars. Today Sylvester Stallone sits on an estimated worth of 400 million dollars, and he owes it all to just an idea. All he began with was a thought and then that thought blossomed into something greater than anybody could ever imagine.

You also have what this actor had which now makes him many millions of dollars for every movie he acts in, directs or produces. Lately, it's been a common practice for people to say " it takes money to make money" but this isn't true even in the least bit. Stallone didn't have any money, didn't have any investors, anybody who believed in him or even a rich uncle. All he had on his side was the power of thought that is also within you and I today just waiting to be used to provide comfort and service to all who would make use of it. Will you use it today to make your fortune?

Money Consciousness

We already learnt about becoming wealth conscious, so you remember that it is those things that you focus on that are going to come into your reality. While growing up in this philosophy, sometimes I couldn't find anything to uplift me and keep my vibrations up. At times, all around me optimism was lacking.

I may do my affirmations and begin feeling joyful, but when I turn on the TV to watch the news, there is violence and crime everywhere. Watching TV would bring my vibration down so then I would log on to the Internet to find some solace. However, when I log on to Facebook I see the same violence, crime, hopelessness, racism and depression. As a result my vibration gets pushed down even lower to where it was before I did my affirmations.

I noticed that it was hard for me to keep my vibrations up, I needed new material that would always be harmonious, uplifting, joyful, hopeful and inspiring. Unfortunately, this type of material was hard to find for a long time, so my results came slower.

Do not overlook the importance of having your mind rest on money in order to gain money. Anytime I was able to keep my mind focused upon money for any reason I got it. I remember there was a time that I needed to install kitchen cabinets for my tenants and I didn't want to pay for them out of my regular pay check. I felt that thought strongly many times over the course of 2 weeks and what happened was that all the money came right to me. The government had forgotten to return to me a tax credit from many years ago and now they sent it just in time.

Another time, I had told myself that I just wanted to make an extra 50$ per month because what I was making at that time was acceptable but not good enough for me to enjoy as much entertainment as I wanted to at that point in time. I put the thought out there and within days came an email from a man across the globe in Japan who wanted to pay me 20$ a day to post 3 ads on Craigslist for NHL hockey jerseys. I quickly took him up on the offer and within a few weeks I had made 200$ for doing about 5 minutes work per day. I could go on and on about the time I needed a cheap laborer to help finish my basement and ran into one at the corner store a few weeks before I would start work. There are countless stories about me but I just want you to get the idea in your mind. When you keep your mind on money while in a positive state of mind, money is bound to come your way.

How Concentration Can Bring You Wealth

Pick up a magnifying glass and bring it outside. Then find a small stick and hold the glass over the stick for at least a few minutes. In a little while you see that the rays of the sun being concentrated in time begin to light the little stick on fire.

Just as it is for the rays of the sun when concentrated to strike fire to a given area, just so the rays of your mind can be concentrated to bring unlimited amounts of wealth into your life.

Micheal Jordan he is the greatest basketball player of all time. However, at some point in time he wasn't. Funny and impossible as it seems Micheal Jordan actually didn't even make his junior varsity team.

Micheal Jordan was a good player but didn't become Micheal Jordan until he began to concentrate all his mental energies toward playing the game of basketball.

It all changed when he began to eat, sleep, live basketball. All of his thoughts pertained to basketball and so did his actions. He was the first to arrive to practice and the last to leave. He spent hours and hours looking over game film and even began to lift weights so that his body would be in the best shape possible to play basketball. Basketball had taken over his mind and the results were something we have never seen before and are likely to never see ever again.

The billionaire Mark Cuban said it as well that " the sport of making money was played for 24 hours 7 days 365 days a year, and here lies the secret to the creation of his enormous wealth.

Thomas Edison who was arguably the world's greatest inventor had a mind that was so immersed into his work that he would think of nothing else. When Edison was trying to invent the light-bulb he would decided that nothing outside of achieving that goal was worth his time. He decided that if he did not find out how to make the light-bulb then he would do nothing else and that is history.

Even many of you who have entered into colleges and universities understand the power of concentration. I can remember committing social suicide day 1 of college. You no longer have a life, you no longer have any interests and you no longer have any friends (it seems). It's like you are in class all day long and when you get home, all you are doing is homework. Yeah I know it sucks but it is the way to have success in your studies.

I'm not telling you that you need to be one of the worlds greatest people and devote your every moment to making money or some special project. However, I am telling you of a secret that great men have used to achieve their goals in life. A secret that you too can use in your life to achieve your financial goals.
